FFH Dues Scholarship
The Pittsburgh Flying Fish Heads swim team is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming club that is accessible to our community. This year we are able to offer several half-scholarships to swimmers based on financial need and commitment to masters swimming. Scholarships are awarded in September for the membership year. Scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 season are due September 15th.
FFH Dues Scholarship is awarded on a financial need basis
The half-scholarship covers half of the cost of a one-time payment annual membership: $432 ($216 billed in September and $216 billed in March)
Scholarship applications and awards are treated as confidential by the scholarship committee
Selection Criteria
Application for scholarship funds should be made by the swimmer using this brief application form. The selection committee will meet to decide recipients using the following criteria:
Financial need
Sincere interest in and commitment to masters swimming
Attendance and participation at weekly practices. Scholarship recipients are expected to swim at least 1x each week. Inactive periods for longer than 1 month without notifying FFH leadership will result in loss of scholarship. If scholarship funds are revoked, scholarship recipients can join at the monthly rate.
